Over 20,000 Words of Tea Stories
Spanning 150 Years of Taiwan
Twenty stories, over 20,000 words — a timeline stretching from 1869 to 2024.
Guided by the themes of Memory, Island, and Craft, each story traces the origins and evolution of tea — from terroir to the hands of the tea masters.
Equal parts narrative and knowledge — uncovering the culture and science behind each cup, giving every sip a place of origin and a soul.
From Illustrations to Photographs,
Bringing Taiwan's Tea Era Back to Life
Illustrator Moni was commissioned to create dozens of warm, original illustrations — breathing vivid life into every story.
Rare archival images were selected from the Taipei City Archives, National Taiwan University Library, and National Museum of Taiwan History — placing history and illustration side by side, so that the marks of an era live again on the page.
Rooted in Mother Tongue,
Reaching the World in English
Each story's setting is rendered in its mother tongue — Taiwanese Hokkien or Hakka — verified by language consultants to faithfully preserve the linguistic warmth of every place.
The full book is presented in Chinese and English, with cultural annotations woven into the English text — making it a gift that travels across languages, perfect for sharing with international friends.

Your Personal Tea Journey
Each envelope holds not just tea, but a tasting note card. The included "Tea Journey Flavor Map" illustrates aroma, texture, and finish in illustration form — with guided questions to open up both experience and knowledge.
When you write down your impressions and tuck the card back into its envelope, this tea journey leaves behind your own flavor memory, pressed between the pages.
